Three Realities Beyond the Benchmarks in Undergraduate Inquiry Response

Episode 03 | December 2025

This episode explores Liaison's 2025 Undergraduate Inquiry Response Project Report, a longitudinal study tracking how colleges connect with prospective students since 2016. This year's research examined 432 institutions and revealed significant gaps between best practices and actual performance. Twenty-five percent of schools lacked visible inquiry forms, Thirty-eight percent never responded at all, and only 17 percent personalized their outreach. Our panelists discuss why fundamental practices remain so difficult to implement, what truly personalized communication looks like in action, and how institutions can strategically approach omnichannel engagement. Drawing on thousands of data points, this conversation offers practical strategies for improving how schools respond to student inquiries and boost enrollment.
